Wetherspoon kicks off its January Sale today in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine priced at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with mixer) also at £1.99.
In addition to alcoholic beverages, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks are available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are on sale for 99p each. Food discounts are also on offer, featuring an 11-inch Margherita pizza or chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
Customers can opt for six jacket potatoes at £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink, with fillings like tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables. Additional fillings or side salads can be added for 99p each. New gourmet jacket potatoes are available, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic beverage, including options like loaded spud with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream; Mexican spud with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies, and coriander; and smoky potato with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.
Tim Martin, the founder and chairman of Wetherspoon, announced, “Department stores and shops have January sales, so it’s fitting to have a pub sale too. The range of drinks and food caters to various tastes, including a wide selection of low and non-alcoholic beverages. The sale will be ongoing in 600 pubs from January 2, starting on January 3 in Scotland, until January 15. Note that prices may vary at Wetherspoon’s other 200 locations.
