The company managing Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week following its decision to put itself up for sale. The Revel Collective, operating 62 venues under the Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs brands, initiated the sale process in October 2025 due to declining sales.
According to a report by Sky News, potential bidders are required to submit offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale procedure. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some sites of The Revel Collective, although it remains uncertain if they will submit a bid.
The Mirror reached out to The Revel Collective, previously known as Revolution Bars until 2024, for a statement. The company had earlier launched a sales process in April 2024 but discontinued it after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. In 2024, the company closed approximately 36 sites as part of a reorganization plan approved by the High Court.
In a recent update in October 2025, company executives cited challenging economic conditions and government interventions impacting their ability to recover post-restructuring. Revenue fell by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months up to September, largely due to a 10.5% decline in like-for-like bars business. The company attributed the sales drop to cost-of-living pressures on its young customer base and a rise in debts to £25.3 million.
Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express chairman, took over as chairman of The Revel Collective in September, expressing a continuous interest in acquiring distinctive businesses with potential market leadership.
