“Steiner Eyes Oliver Bearman as Potential Replacement for Hamilton at Ferrari”

Must Read

Guenther Steiner, the former Haas team principal, has suggested that Lewis Hamilton’s tenure at Ferrari might be shortened following a disappointing first season. Steiner, aged 60, has identified young talent Oliver Bearman as a potential replacement for Hamilton before the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Hamilton’s performance at Ferrari has raised concerns due to a slow start, prompting discussions about his future with the team. Steiner has indicated that if Hamilton’s underwhelming form persists into the next season, the seven-time world champion could see an early end to his time at the Italian outfit.

Bearman, who filled in for Carlos Sainz at the previous Saudi Arabia Grand Prix and recently joined Ferrari’s Driving Academy, has impressed with his skills at Haas this season. Steiner, in agreement with many others, sees Bearman as a strong candidate to take over Hamilton’s seat in the future.

In a recent segment on ‘The Red Flags podcast,’ Steiner expressed his support for Bearman, emphasizing the young driver’s remarkable progress and talent. He highlighted Bearman’s consistent and impressive performances, hinting at a bright future in Formula 1.

Despite Hamilton’s struggles and the ongoing speculation about his position at Ferrari, the British driver has indicated his commitment to the team, citing his existing contract. Hamilton has hinted that discussions about his future are premature at this stage.

Amidst discussions about potential changes at Ferrari, Sky Sports F1 pitlane reporter Ted Kravitz has also voiced his belief in Bearman’s eventual promotion to Ferrari. Kravitz is confident that Bearman will eventually take over from Hamilton at Ferrari, emphasizing the young driver’s talent and potential.

As the Formula 1 season progresses, Bearman has been consistent in scoring points in recent races, positioning himself close to surpassing competitors in the Drivers’ Championship Standings. However, Ferrari’s performance this season has been lackluster, with the team yet to secure a victory in 2025, while Hamilton continues to seek his first podium finish after 21 races.

In an effort to enhance viewership, Sky has updated its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to include popular streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, alongside comprehensive coverage of 135 channels and Formula 1 events.
