“Olympic Champion Jessica Ennis-Hill Joins ‘7 in 7 Together’ Charity Challenge”

Must Read

Jessica Ennis-Hill, the Olympic champion, has confirmed her participation alongside Kevin Sinfield in the ‘7 in 7 Together’ challenge in Sheffield to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Sinfield, who is aiming to complete an ultra marathon every day for a week, initiated this latest challenge on Monday.

This marks Sinfield’s sixth consecutive annual fundraiser for MND charities. His previous efforts have amassed over £10 million, contributing to the establishment of a groundbreaking center in Leeds, the first of its kind in the United Kingdom. Sinfield’s inspiration for these challenges stemmed from his friend and former teammate, Rob Burrow, who was diagnosed with MND.

Ennis-Hill, a resident of Sheffield and a renowned athlete with an Olympic gold in the heptathlon and three world championship titles, is lending her support to Sinfield’s cause. Her involvement adds significant visibility to the campaign against MND.

Following his Sheffield leg, Sinfield is set to continue his challenge in Cumbria and Scotland before concluding in Leeds on Sunday. Sinfield’s relentless pursuit for a cure for MND persists, with recent news of England World Cup winner Lewis Moody’s diagnosis reinforcing the urgency of the cause.

Meanwhile, Moody is planning a fundraising dinner in April and aims to organize a charity bike ride in 2026. To learn more about the challenge, visit https://www.therhinos.co.uk/the-club/sinfield-together-2025.
