Marks & Spencer Recalls Milk Chocolate Honeycomb for Peanut Allergy Risk

Must Read

Marks & Spencer has initiated a swift recall of Milk Chocolate Honeycomb packs due to a potential severe allergy risk. The High Street retailer stated that the recall was a precautionary measure following concerns about the presence of undisclosed peanuts in a limited number of packs. A spokesperson emphasized the company’s dedication to customer safety and the serious approach taken towards food production issues.

The affected batches, identifiable by a best before date of May 12, 2026, and lot number 5242, have prompted a warning to individuals with peanut allergies not to consume the product and to return it to the nearest Marks & Spencer store for a full refund. Only 120g packs with these specific date codes and lot numbers are subject to the recall, with no other M&S products impacted.

The Food Standards Agency issued an alert confirming the recall and notifying allergy support organizations to inform their members. Additionally, Marks & Spencer has posted a notice at points of sale for customer awareness.

Customers with peanut allergies are advised not to consume the recalled product and to seek a refund at their local store. For further inquiries, individuals can contact Marks & Spencer directly at 03330 148555.

In a separate recall, Aldi has withdrawn certain Gianni’s Cheeky Monkey Ice Cream tubs from shelves due to undeclared wheat (gluten), posing a potential health risk to individuals with coeliac disease or wheat allergies. The affected products are 500ml in size with a best before date of August 14, 2027.
