Must Read

The Las Vegas Aces secured a 93-73 victory over the Toronto Tempo with A’ja Wilson contributing 27 points and eight rebounds, while Jackie Young added 23 points along with eight assists and no turnovers. Chelsea Gray also chipped in with 11 points in the absence of NaLyssa Smith, who sustained a season-ending left leg injury in a previous game against Toronto.

Toronto’s Isabelle Harrison scored 15 points, Laura Juskaite had 14, Kia Nurse scored 12, and Kiki Rice and Kiana Williams each added 10 points. The Aces (27-13) maintained their one-game lead for the third spot in the WNBA playoff race after defeating the Toronto Tempo, as Indiana (26-14) also won against Connecticut.

Jackie Young’s timely 3-pointer propelled the Aces into the lead, which they held onto for the remainder of the game. Las Vegas dominated the first quarter, finishing 27-17 and shooting efficiently, including 6-of-12 from beyond the arc. The Tempo struggled with turnovers, committing nine in the first quarter alone.

Las Vegas continued their strong performance into the second quarter, establishing a commanding 56-39 halftime lead despite a slight dip in their 3-point shooting accuracy. Toronto’s defensive struggles were evident as they committed 12 personal fouls in the first half, allowing the Aces to capitalize from the foul line.

In their upcoming fixtures, the Tempo will face the Phoenix Mercury, while the Aces are scheduled to play against the Seattle Storm on September 17th.
