Apple has unveiled its latest smartphone, the iPhone 17e, featuring significant upgrades at an attractive price point. Priced at £599, this device boasts a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging capability, a durable design, and an impressive single-lens camera. In comparison, it is £200 cheaper than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
While the iPhone 17e stands out, Samsung has also introduced new models that are more budget-friendly. Samsung’s latest offerings, the A57 and A37, start at just £399. These devices may not match the performance or charging innovations of the iPhone 17e, but they do offer a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing a smoother user experience for activities like web browsing, email navigation, and gaming.
The Galaxy phones from Samsung feature large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance. Additionally, they come equipped with advanced AI features. The Galaxy A37 and A57 support Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and offer enhanced photo editing tools such as Object Eraser, Best Face, and Edit Suggestions for effortless photo enhancement and sharing.
Samsung has also enhanced its Voice Transcription functionality within the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe or translate call recordings and convert voicemail messages into text for easy reference of important details from meetings or conversations.
Moreover, Samsung guarantees long-term support for its devices by committing to provide up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models.
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th. The Galaxy A57 5G will be priced from £529 for the 256GB variant, while the Galaxy A37 5G will start at £399 for the 128GB version.
Color options for the Galaxy A57 5G include Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of making AI technology accessible to more users. She highlighted that the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G combine Samsung’s core capabilities with AI intelligence to deliver efficient performance and showcase the practical benefits of AI technology.
