The New York City Fire Department swiftly responded to the incident, announcing a 3-alarm fire at 201 West 107th Street in Manhattan at 8:49 am. Shortly after, the fire escalated to a four-alarm situation.
In an update on social media, the FDNY reported that the fire was brought under control by 10:30 am, and fire marshals are investigating the cause.
Acting chief EMS, Paul Miano, confirmed that all three reported injuries were minor. When questioned about the fire’s origin, FDNY chief of operations, Kevin Woods, mentioned that the cause is currently unknown.
