“Father of Two Dies from Fentanyl Poisoning After Finding Joint”

Must Read

A man tragically passed away shortly after texting his girlfriend that it was his fortunate day. Michael Lordson, a 25-year-old father of two young daughters, collapsed and died while working at a Nevada casino on May 5. This sudden incident occurred after he discovered an abandoned joint earlier that day.

Despite no drugs being found on him, a coroner confirmed that Michael suffered from fentanyl poisoning, leading to his untimely death. Tamula Mercer, Michael’s biological grandmother who raised him since he was two, expressed shock over losing a loved one to fentanyl, emphasizing the substance’s hidden dangers.

Tamula, a caretaker in Bullhead City, Arizona, highlighted that Michael was not a drug user but occasionally smoked pot. She recounted how Michael excitedly shared a photo of the discovered joint with his girlfriend, referring to it as his “lucky day.”

While Michael informed his coworkers about the joint, it remains unclear if he consumed it. Authorities found no drugs on the scene or on Michael, underscoring the stealthy nature of fentanyl. Health officials in the US caution against the prevalence of fentanyl in various drugs, posing a severe risk of overdose to unsuspecting users.

Tamula raised awareness about fentanyl’s lethal potency, stressing that even minimal exposure to the substance can be fatal. She shared her personal ordeal, including suffering a heart attack due to the distress caused by Michael’s demise, but remains resolute in educating others about fentanyl’s dangers to prevent further tragedies.

Her ultimate plea is for people to understand the peril of fentanyl and to help save lives by spreading awareness and knowledge about the substance’s deadly consequences.
