“Blinded by Meth: Woman Gouges Eyes, Finds Hope”

Must Read

A woman, Kaylee Muthart, marked her 28th birthday by reflecting on a tragic event where she gouged out her own eyes in a meth-induced psychosis at the age of 20. Following a heart-wrenching breakup and a mental breakdown, she believed that sacrificing her sight would save the world. Despite being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, she continued down a destructive path after consuming meth-laced drugs.

On the day she lost her vision, Kaylee, still under the influence of meth, experienced hallucinations which led her to believe that removing her eyes was necessary to prevent a catastrophic event. She was found outside a church, screaming that she wanted to see the light as she inflicted the irreversible damage. Subsequently, she was rushed to the hospital where emergency surgery was performed.

Despite her permanent blindness, Kaylee has shown remarkable resilience and faith. She underwent rehabilitation, learned braille, and mastered technologies for the visually impaired. She considers her blindness a blessing in disguise as it prevents her from relapsing into drug use. Kaylee, now a devout Christian, remains hopeful that one day she may regain her vision and witness the beauty of the world she once knew.
