Must Read

With the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, EE is slashing prices on smart TVs by hundreds of pounds to enable soccer enthusiasts to enhance their viewing experience in time for the tournament’s kick-off. In preparation for the event starting on June 11, the telecommunications and entertainment provider is also granting football fans the opportunity to win tickets to a Home Nations match.

Customers who buy any TV from the EE website before the World Cup concludes on July 19 will automatically be entered into a prize draw for a chance to secure a pair of tickets to a Home Nations football game in the UK. There are 10 pairs of tickets up for grabs for a match of the winners’ choosing, whether they support England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland.

It is important to note that these tickets are not for matches at this year’s World Cup but for fixtures scheduled between September and December. Alongside the chance to snag complimentary match tickets, customers can also enjoy discounts of up to £500 on TVs from renowned brands like Samsung, Sony, LG, and Hisense.

As part of EE’s Summer of Sport promotion, football aficionados can win free tickets to an England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland game between September and December 2026. To participate, customers simply need to purchase any smart TV on the EE website by July 19, many of which are available with discounts of up to £500.

One of the standout deals includes the Samsung QN93F QLED Mini LED 4K Ultra HD Smart AI TV priced at £1,999 (previously £2,499), offering exceptional 4K image quality on a massive 75” screen. Moreover, customers ordering this model are eligible to claim up to 20% Cashback from Samsung.

For those seeking more budget-friendly options, the Hisense A7QTUK QLED AI Smart TV starts from £309, providing vivid visuals with QLED Colour technology. This TV is equipped with an AI 4K Upscaler to enhance the image quality of classic movies and TV shows to modern 4K standards.

Another TV model eligible for the Home Nations tickets contest is the 55” Toshiba UV2F LED 4K Ultra HD Smart TV priced at £249. This device promises remarkable detail with 4K Ultra HD and Dolby Vision, coupled with immersive multidimensional sound powered by Dolby Atmos and a 20W speaker output.

The ongoing sale at EE coincides with a competitive offer at Sky, where both Glass smart TVs are presently discounted by 20%. The entry-level Sky Glass Air is now priced at £4.50 per month (previously £6), while the premium Sky Glass Gen 2 is available for £11 a month (previously £14).

In a separate development, Amazon has rebranded its Fire TV lineup as Amazon Ember, unveiling the new Ember Artline model. This TV is designed to emulate framed artwork and currently boasts discounts of up to £270.

When considering which TV to select for EE’s Home Nations tickets giveaway, the Hisense A7QTUK model has received glowing reviews on the brand’s website, achieving a 4.7-star rating from nearly 300 reviews. Customers have praised its crisp and clear picture quality, customizable sound options, and straightforward setup process.

While opinions on the Hisense TV vary, with some highlighting tin-like sound quality, the majority of reviews emphasize its exceptional picture clarity and user-friendly features. Overall, the consensus is that Hisense TVs offer great value for money and consistently improve with each new model release.
