A deceased individual has been discovered during the search for a British man who went missing in Spain. Marc Tulloch Hewson was last seen in the Los Balcones area of Torrevieja on September 20. Although he was not a resident of that area, he had recently left his home in Orihuela Costa and had been to Torrevieja Hospital before his disappearance.
Reports indicate that Hewson’s mental health was deteriorating, and he was last seen collecting bottles in a carrier bag without any identification or shoes. His body was found in the fishing port of Aguilas in Murcia, and Spanish authorities have stated that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
An official plea for information was made by Hewson’s wife, Catherine, on October 7. His sister, Fiona Crowther, was actively participating in the search efforts when his body was discovered.
Expressing gratitude for the community’s support, Fiona Crowther acknowledged the efforts made in the search. Kelsey Johnson, another individual involved in the search, thanked everyone for their contributions and expressed sadness over the outcome. The community’s support during the search was deeply appreciated by Hewson’s family and friends.
