Reports indicate that Qudsiyah had been battling mental health issues and engaging in self-harm. Messages she sent to friends on Snapchat prior to her demise hinted at her intention to end her life. Despite being perceived as a bright and friendly individual by her teachers and peers, Qudsiyah had confided in her friends about her uncertainties regarding her sexuality, gender, and religion, at times describing herself as agnostic and genderfluid.
