This milestone was confirmed by CFL historian Steve Daniel.
Expressing disappointment in the team’s performance, dedicated Redblacks fan Jimmy Fata highlighted the lack of clarity on the root cause of the ongoing struggles. The tradition of cutting a “wood cookie” for each touchdown at home games has seen a decline due to the team’s recent poor form, as noted by Fata.
The Redblacks’ losing streak not only stands as a modern-day CFL record but also ranks as the third-longest in CFL history dating back to 1907. Another loss in the upcoming game against the Montreal Alouettes would tie them with the Hamilton Wildcats for the second-longest losing streak.
Looking ahead, Daniel emphasized the need for a continued roster rebuild for the Redblacks, particularly focusing on defensive improvements.
