Canadian filmmaker Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim have created a documentary titled “You Can See Everything” that offers a glimpse into the life of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes in the weeks leading up to her 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors. The film crew, especially Fielder, challenges Holmes with tough questions as she maintains her innocence, even shedding a tear during the interview.
The documentary delves into Holmes’s relationship with her husband, Billy Evans, who hails from a family of successful hoteliers. In 2014, Holmes gained fame as the youngest self-made female billionaire in the U.S. by promoting a technology that could screen for numerous diseases with a simple finger prick. However, criminal charges were brought against her in the following year.
Fielder, known for his satirical show “Nathan for You,” questions Evans about his association with Holmes, raising concerns about potential deception. Despite the skepticism, Evans defends their relationship, emphasizing that he never doubted her honesty.
Holmes and Evans welcomed their first child in August 2021, just before Holmes was convicted of fraud. She later announced her second pregnancy after her sentencing to more than 11 years in prison. The documentary is set to release in theaters on October 16, offering viewers a deeper insight into this intriguing story.
