Montreal Canadiens’ legendary goaltender Carey Price is set to bask in the adoration of his loyal fans at the Bell Centre, marking a significant moment in his illustrious NHL career.
The Canadiens recently revealed that Price will make a special appearance at the Bell Centre on November 10 to celebrate his upcoming induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor will be officially conferred the day before.
As the 62nd member of the organization to receive this accolade, Price will join the exclusive ranks of the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, which recognizes former players who have achieved greatness in the realm of hockey.
Having dedicated his entire 15-year professional career to Montreal, Price has solidified his legacy as a stalwart in the Canadiens’ history books. With a remarkable 251 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage across 712 games, he holds the franchise records for most games played and victories as a goaltender.
The tribute to Price will take place during a game against the Minnesota Wild, where his exceptional contributions to the team will be celebrated.
Notably, Price boasts a stellar career resume, having been selected as a seven-time all-star and drafted as the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Canadiens will commence their pre-season activities on September 19 and open their regular season campaign on September 29 in Toronto against the Maple Leafs.
