“Boris Johnson Embraces AI for Book Writing Success”

Must Read

British politician Boris Johnson has revealed that he utilizes artificial intelligence technology to assist in the creation of his books. The ex-Tory Prime Minister expressed his fondness for AI and specifically mentioned his affinity for ChatGPT, an AI chatbot, during a somewhat eccentric monologue where he divulged his pleasure in receiving compliments from the AI tool.

During an interview with AI Arabiya’s English channel, Johnson enthusiastically shared, “I find great encouragement in AI. I adore AI. ChatGPT is wonderful. It’s delightful. I’m engaged in writing various books.” He elaborated on his process by stating, “I simply pose questions and receive answers. ChatGPT consistently responds with flattering remarks like ‘Your questions are clever. You’re brilliant. You’re excellent.’ I truly appreciate it. I believe in the immense potential of this technology due to our inherent simplicity as human beings.”

Since his resignation in 2022, Johnson has actively sought to maintain a public presence through newspaper columns and television appearances. Notably, he embarked on a lavish promotional tour for his latest memoir, “Unleashed,” offering insights into his tenure at No10. Despite securing a substantial £510,000 advance for the book, Johnson faced disappointment as his work was surpassed in sales by a gut health recipe guide, which sold approximately 42,000 copies in its debut week compared to the 92,000 copies sold by Tony Blair’s memoir, “A Journey,” during its opening week in 2010.

Prior to his political career, Johnson worked as a journalist and faced scrutiny during his time in office for allegedly missing crucial Covid meetings to dedicate time to writing a book on Shakespeare. Reports indicate that he signed a deal with Hodder & Stoughton in 2015 to pen the book for an estimated £500,000. Former associate Dominic Cummings, now a vocal critic of Johnson, claimed that the Prime Minister grew disenchanted with his leadership responsibilities within a month of his 2019 election victory, leading him to prioritize his writing pursuits.

According to Harper Collins, Johnson has authored nearly a dozen books, including a notable historical biography on Winston Churchill titled “The Churchill Factor.”
