A tragic incident unfolded as a pregnant woman, merely days away from delivering her baby, was discovered deceased in a forest. Authorities are now actively searching for the missing infant.
The woman, identified as Rebecca Park, vanished after leaving her mother’s residence on the evening of November 4th, at 38 weeks pregnant. Witnesses reported seeing the 22-year-old entering a dark-colored vehicle parked outside the house, after which all communication ceased.
Her mobile phone was later found abandoned near her mother’s home. Several weeks later, Rebecca’s lifeless body was located nearly 50 miles away from her last known whereabouts. Regrettably, an examination revealed the absence of her baby at the scene, prompting ongoing efforts by law enforcement to locate the infant.
Rebecca’s fiancé, Richard Lee Falor, and her 21-year-old sister, Kimberly Park, were taken into custody following the incident but have not been formally charged in connection with her demise. Falor, a 43-year-old with a prior criminal record, faces drug-related charges and the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence. He is currently detained on a substantial cash bond due to being deemed a potential flight risk.
In a public statement, Falor recounted the events surrounding Rebecca’s disappearance, emphasizing their close relationship and expressing concern for her safety and their child’s well-being. Kimberly Park, Rebecca’s younger sister, is also in custody on charges related to obstructing a criminal investigation and providing false information.
The circumstances surrounding Rebecca’s death remain under investigation, with authorities refraining from disclosing extensive details due to the sensitive nature of the case. Stephanie Park, Rebecca’s adoptive mother, who previously maintained silence during the search, has now spoken out to emphasize her daughter’s loving nature and the challenges she faced.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office and various other authorities, are actively collaborating to determine the status and potential location of the missing baby. Sheriff Trent Taylor has urged the public to be patient as they work towards resolving the tragic situation.
