“Tommy Robinson Trial Verdict Delayed for Israel Visit”

Must Read

Tommy Robinson is awaiting the outcome of his trial as he is set to visit Israel as an official guest, delaying the verdict for three weeks. The 42-year-old far-right activist was detained at the Channel Tunnel last year with a substantial amount of money in his vehicle. During the incident, PC Mitchell Thorogood requested access to Robinson’s phone under anti-terrorism legislation, which Robinson refused to provide. He claims innocence regarding the alleged non-compliance.

Robinson, also known as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, faces a potential three-month prison sentence if convicted. He mentioned to the authorities that his phone contained work-related information as a journalist, including details about vulnerable individuals. Robinson disclosed in a video that his legal expenses are being covered by Elon Musk, the owner of the platform where the video was posted.

The trial proceedings concluded on Tuesday, and both the prosecution and defense presented their cases. However, District Judge Sam Goozee has yet to deliver a verdict on Robinson’s case. Due to Robinson’s upcoming trip to Israel until October 25, the judge postponed the decision until November 4 to accommodate his travel plans, which were confirmed by his defense counsel.

After the court session, Robinson expressed his anticipation for the verdict announcement on November 4 and his imminent visit to Israel in support of the country and its people. He expressed gratitude to Elon Musk for his financial support and emphasized his friendship with the Jewish community and government leaders in Israel.
