An altercation between a mother and her son turned tragic when the young boy fatally stabbed his 37-year-old mother following an argument over his behavior, as reported by the police.
Witnesses recounted the heartbreaking moment when the mother, Caline Arruda dos Santos, asked for a final hug before being stabbed in the abdomen by her son. Prior to the incident, Caline had reportedly instructed her son to stop playing in the street.
The boy, under his stepfather’s roof at the time, allegedly retrieved a knife from the kitchen, concealed it in his clothing, and attacked his mother in front of his older brother. In a poignant moment, the mother requested a final hug, acknowledging that she might not survive the attack.
Despite being rushed to the hospital by a neighbor, Caline succumbed to her injuries upon arrival. Due to the boy’s age, being under 12, he was not detained by the police as he falls under the jurisdiction of the Children’s Court. Presently, he is being cared for by a relative of the victim.
In an interview, the relative mentioned that the boy appears unaware of the gravity of his actions, only learning about his mother’s death from another individual. The tragic incident took place on Rua Gaspar Leme in Parelheiros, south of Sao Paolo, with investigations ongoing under the Civil Police.
In a separate case, a 17-year-old named Sarah Patrick was charged with the murder of her 41-year-old mother and 45-year-old stepfather in Georgia, USA. Despite initially displaying a carefree demeanor in court, she later broke down during the proceedings upon hearing testimonies from her pastor, friends, and a benefactor who provided her with shelter after the alleged crimes.
Patrick was arrested after her younger sister discovered the bodies of their slain parents and subsequently contacted the authorities. Notably, she reached out to true crime influencers on TikTok seeking assistance in solving the case.
The teenager faces adult charges of murder and aggravated assault, with a trial scheduled for January 5, 2026.
