Police are investigating the death of a British man whose unclothed body was discovered in shrubbery in Majorca. Authorities on the island have confirmed his nationality and are awaiting autopsy results for further action. The man, believed to be 64 years old, was found lifeless in a secluded area near Cala Lombards beach in southeast Majorca by a group of workers. Police have cordoned off the area and stated that no signs of violence were evident on the body or at the scene, though all possibilities are being considered until after the post-mortem examination.
The autopsy is scheduled to occur later at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Palma. The Civil Guard, responsible for the investigation, has identified the deceased as a British citizen and specified the location of the incident as Cala Llombards in the municipality of Santanyi. Detectives have not disclosed whether the man was a tourist or a resident of the island, but a witness reported seeing him in the vicinity prior to the discovery of his body.
The police spokesperson refrained from confirming reports that the man was completely naked when found, pending confirmation from the autopsy. It is understood that he was 64 years old.
