Virgin Media TV has introduced two new free channels, Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), just in time for the holiday season. These channels offer a variety of musical content, including world premieres, concerts, films, and artist interviews, available for viewing around the clock.
Stingray Classica (Ch296) focuses on classical music, opera, and ballet, featuring 50 world premieres annually from renowned concert halls and opera houses. It also offers documentaries, exclusive classical music programming, and weekly premieres. On the other hand, Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297) showcases jazz concerts, films, portraits, documentaries, artist profiles, interviews, and backstage reports.
These new music channels are now part of Virgin’s lineup of 32 FAST channels, which already include British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV. David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the launch, stating that the addition of these channels enhances the entertainment offerings for customers, catering to a wide range of music enthusiasts.
