Sky has unveiled changes to its TV channel lineup, set to take effect imminently. Among the modifications, Sky Showcase and Sky Max will halt broadcasting on Tuesday, February 24. However, to offset these closures, a beloved channel will make a comeback.
Sky One is poised to relaunch tomorrow, offering a range of compelling comedy and entertainment programs. New series such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby will be part of the lineup, along with fan-favorites like Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper, and Ted.
Moreover, Sky One will become the home of Saturday Night Live UK in the upcoming months. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm for the channel’s relaunch, emphasizing its unique content mix and vibrant energy.
The much-anticipated Sky One will debut on channel 106 on Tuesday, February 24. Not only is Sky introducing this new channel, but it is also rolling out a new subscription plan called Ultimate TV. Priced at £24 per month, customers will gain access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the forthcoming HBO Max app.
Additionally, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will enjoy over 130 premium channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, and Sky History. A special Disney movie channel will be integrated into the TV guide for Sky Cinema users, allowing seamless viewing of Hollywood hits without navigating the Disney+ app.
