Carla Bellucci, a 44-year-old mother from Hertfordshire, has devised a unique strategy to alleviate the stress of Christmas by implementing a dining fee for her family members, including the children. She is offering a lavish four-course Christmas meal at her home for a substantial price of £250 per person.
Although the decision has stirred discontent among her family members, Carla, a former glamour model, remains resolute, stating that children can seek alternative arrangements if they are not in favor of the arrangement. This is not the first time Carla has charged guests for Christmas dinner; last year, she requested £200 per person, and this year, the price has escalated by £50, extending the charge to children, including her own.
Carla’s children, Tanisha, 20, and Jayden, 19, have expressed disappointment with the new policy. Carla acknowledged their discontent, emphasizing that the payment requirement stands firm if they wish to partake in the family Christmas celebration.
With a planned guest count of 10, comprising both family and friends, Carla has curated a menu featuring prawn cocktail as a starter, followed by short ribs, wild mushroom Yorkshire puddings, sizzled sprouts, and rosemary scalloped potatoes for the main course. The dessert will be a classic Christmas pudding. Guests will be greeted with canapés and complimentary champagne, although the festivities will conclude promptly at 8pm, including Tanisha and Jayden’s departure.
Carla clarified that since Tanisha and Jayden no longer reside with her, they will be considered guests this year and will be charged accordingly. She emphasized her need to save money and asserted that the fee is a reasonable exchange for the effort and expenses involved in hosting the event.
Furthermore, Carla mentioned that an additional charge of £80 per person would apply if Tanisha and Jayden opt to stay overnight. She expressed her willingness to charge more, even up to a thousand pounds, highlighting that her family should appreciate her efforts in alleviating their holiday stress.
