Max Verstappen’s fortune has surged by almost £44 million over the past year, bringing his total net worth to just under £230 million. The Red Bull Racing driver has ascended in the ranks of Quote 500, a list of the wealthiest individuals in the Netherlands, moving up to 264th place from 322nd last year.
Despite celebrating his 28th birthday in late September, Verstappen remains the youngest person on the list, a title he has held since his debut in 2022. Initially entering as the 500th person with a net worth just over £105 million, Verstappen has rapidly climbed through the ranks, reaching the 428th spot a year later and then leaping up 106 places last year.
This year’s list has an entry threshold of just under £123 million, with notable names like Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk missing the cut. Forbes ranked Verstappen as the world’s 25th highest-paid athlete this year, with earnings close to £59 million, primarily coming from his salary and winnings, with £4.5 million from endorsements.
In comparison, Lewis Hamilton holds the 22nd spot on the list, earning just above £60 million. Despite his salary and winnings being lower at just over £45 million, endorsements of £15 million push him ahead of Verstappen.
Earlier this year, the Daily Mail reported that Aston Martin offered Verstappen a £750 million deal to cover the remainder of his career. Verstappen’s response was, “it’s a lot of money,” adding that it was the first time he had seen such an offer. He has since confirmed his continuation with Red Bull next season, having signed a contract in 2022 extending until 2028, with reports suggesting the deal is valued at around £40 million per season.
Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL, and more. Sky will broadcast at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 matches.
