Must Read

Police apprehended a man following an assault on two individuals at a prominent UK hospital. The incident occurred at 5:30 pm on Friday at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, prompting the evacuation of the emergency department, which later resumed operations in the evening. A 37-year-old suspect was taken into custody by authorities on Saturday in connection with the assault.

According to Police Scotland, emergency services responded to the incident on Friday evening, providing assistance to the two victims. Investigations are currently underway to determine the complete details surrounding the assault.

NHS Grampian confirmed the reopening of the emergency department later on Friday, although a backlog of patients had accumulated due to the temporary closure. CEO Laura Skaife-Knight urged patients to only visit the department in case of emergencies and advised contacting NHS 24 at 111 before seeking treatment at the ED, except in life-threatening situations like suspected strokes or heart attacks, where immediate contact with 999 is necessary.

In light of the incident’s sensitivity, further comments from the hospital were withheld.
