An elderly landlord reportedly shot and killed a naked intruder who had broken into his residence, causing serious injuries by body-slamming him onto concrete. The 79-year-old landlord, a military veteran, bravely defended his property when the intruder entered a residential complex on Tujunga Avenue in Los Angeles. Witnesses observed the landlord rushing to help after hearing screams from women who saw the intruder entering.
According to Captain Warner Castillo of the LAPD, the intruder lifted the landlord and slammed him onto the concrete driveway before the landlord fired shots in self-defense, hitting the suspect three times. The landlord, described by neighbors as a kind and pleasant man, was taken to the hospital following the altercation, and his current condition is unknown.
Fortunately, none of the witnesses were harmed during the incident. One bystander recounted mistaking the commotion for a potential house fire upon seeing the naked intruder. She mentioned hearing gunshots after the confrontation unfolded. CCTV footage captured the intruder roaming the neighborhood before attempting to enter the property where the confrontation occurred.
The video footage showed the intruder approaching a residence and grabbing a sign before continuing down the street. Another witness noted that the intruder noticed an open gate and rushed inside the property where the altercation transpired.
