Must Read

A tragic incident occurred in Rome where a tourist, Morimasa Hibino, a Japanese national, lost his life after falling from a famous monument in front of his daughter. The 69-year-old is believed to have fallen approximately 22 feet to his death last night at around 9:50 pm local time while sitting on the edge of the Pantheon’s perimeter wall. The man was found by a passing priest in a ditch, prompting emergency services and firefighters to respond to the scene. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead on-site.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident, revealing that the man lost his balance while seated on the wall before falling. CCTV footage capturing the area where the man was sitting before the fall has been obtained as part of the investigation. The man’s daughter informed the police that her father had fallen after being overcome by a sudden illness.

The Pantheon, known as Rome’s best-preserved ancient monument, is a popular church and tourist destination. This unfortunate event follows a previous incident where an American tourist, residing in Taiwan, suffered serious injuries after impaling himself on a metal fence while taking a selfie at the Colosseum in Rome. The man, aged 47, was trying to get a better view and potentially capture a dramatic selfie when he slipped and fell onto a sharp metal spike, resulting in a life-threatening injury. He was rushed to San Giovanni Hospital for emergency surgery and is currently in serious but stable condition.
