Must Read

Israel has announced the resumption of enforcing the ceasefire following alleged violations by Hamas. The Israeli military reported the death of two soldiers and injuries to three others during an incident in Rafah. In response to Hamas’s actions, Israel has halted humanitarian aid supply into Gaza and carried out a series of air strikes in southern Gaza. The IDF confirmed conducting a significant wave of attacks, targeting Hamas positions accused of attacking IDF troops in Rafah.

Israel retaliated to eliminate the threat posed by Hamas and dismantle tunnel shafts and military infrastructure, according to the IDF. In contrast, Hamas accused Israel of fabricating pretexts to justify its actions and violating the ceasefire agreement. The escalation of hostilities has raised concerns about the fragile state of the ceasefire in Gaza.

Meanwhile, a derby match between Hapoel and Maccabi was canceled due to disturbances and violent riots at Bloomfield Stadium, leading to arrests and injuries among civilians and police officers. Hapoel Tel Aviv football club alleged brutal police violence during the incident, criticizing the authorities’ handling of the situation.

In another development, thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews gathered near the Israeli consulate in New York City in protest against the government’s decision to draft ultra-Orthodox men into the military. The issue has sparked tensions within Israeli society, with concerns over the impact of mandatory enlistment on religious beliefs.

US special envoy Steve Witkoff and adviser Jared Kushner are scheduled to visit Israel to discuss the Gaza ceasefire. The officials will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to advance the ceasefire framework. As tensions persist, both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement, resulting in casualties on both sides.

The situation remains volatile in Gaza, with fears of a return to conflict looming large. Palestinian civilians and Israeli forces continue to bear the brunt of the escalating violence, underscoring the challenges in maintaining peace in the region.
