Hamas militants are reported to have brutally kneecapped around 500 Palestinians in Gaza, according to human rights lawyer Moumen Al-Natour. He disclosed the disturbing details over a WhatsApp call to the Mirror, describing the gunmen’s ruthless actions against perceived opposition, resulting in deaths and numerous leg injuries. These incidents, he stated, were occurring within hospitals, with an estimated death toll of 150 individuals.
Al-Natour, a 31-year-old anti-Hamas activist leading a youth organization, is currently in hiding to evade Hamas persecution. He highlighted the violence unleashed by Hamas in areas previously vacated as part of the Trump peace agreement with Israel.
The lawyer emphasized the exploitation of hospitals like Shifa in Gaza City by Hamas to target and harm civilians, including children and pregnant women. He also mentioned attacks on vulnerable groups and the reactivation of Hamas fighters despite previous conflicts with Israel.
Having narrowly escaped an attempt on his life, Al-Natour expressed his personal ordeal and the need for international intervention to address the escalating crisis. He called for efforts to rebuild infrastructure, enhance services, and establish local governance in the controlled areas for the welfare of the population.
