Two brothers have been found guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl for their own sexual pleasure. Patrick Leonard, 23, and Lannee Ksigwa, 19, were convicted by a jury at Bradford Crown Court. Leonard received a sentence of 24 years in prison plus an additional year on license, while Ksigwa was sentenced to 12 years’ detention in a young offender institution on October 1.
Detective Inspector Simon Howroyd from Bradford District’s Child Safeguarding Unit described the brothers as dangerous sexual predators who have severely impacted the victim’s life. He commended the victim for her courage in navigating the legal system and expressed hope that the sentences would bring some form of justice. West Yorkshire Police prioritize all reports of sexual offenses and encourage victims to come forward when they are ready, ensuring they are treated with the utmost care and sensitivity.
