Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of Jeffrey Epstein, is expected to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast with a variety of options at her comfortable prison facility. The Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas is preparing a spread that includes traditional dishes like turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce for inmates, including Maxwell and Elizabeth Holmes. Vegetarian choices such as veggie stir fry and tofu are also on the menu, although Maxwell’s preference for vegan options remains uncertain.
Maxwell’s dietary preferences have sparked debate, with animal rights group PETA advocating for her to receive vegan meals in prison. In 2020, PETA reached out to the Federal Bureau of Prisons after reports suggested that Maxwell was not being provided with vegan food while incarcerated.
Convicted on charges related to child sex trafficking and other crimes linked to Epstein, Maxwell received a 20-year prison sentence in 2021. Despite this, she has reportedly received preferential treatment following a contentious meeting with officials associated with Donald Trump.
In a separate development, Maxwell was subpoenaed by James Comer to testify under oath about her connections to Epstein, shortly after the release of a letter from Trump to Epstein on the latter’s 50th birthday. Maxwell maintained that Trump had not engaged in incriminating behavior in her presence. Subsequently, Maxwell was transferred to the minimum-security prison, a decision that sparked controversy.
Victims of Epstein expressed frustration over Maxwell’s relocation amid a struggle between Congress and the White House to disclose documents related to Epstein’s offenses. Trump initially resisted releasing the files but later agreed to sign legislation for their eventual public release by late December.
Trump’s actions in obstructing the document disclosure process have stirred debate within the MAGA movement, leading to internal divisions and questions among his supporters.
