Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued warnings to Western nations after announcing the successful testing of a new nuclear missile called “Flying Chernobyl,” which he described as “unstoppable.” Putin declared that Russia now possesses the most advanced nuclear arsenal globally, with the Burevestnik doomsday missile capable of flying for extended periods and having an “unlimited range.”
During a visit to a military command post, Putin received updates on the situation in Ukraine from Russia’s top general, Valery Gerasimov. Simultaneously, Russian forces launched a brutal attack on Kyiv, targeting residential buildings and resulting in casualties, including children.
Despite calls for peace from former US President Donald Trump, Putin emphasized the high effectiveness of Russia’s nuclear deterrent forces and the successful test of the Burevestnik missile, designed to evade Western defense systems with its unique capabilities.
Gerasimov confirmed the missile’s test flight on October 21, covering a distance of 14,000 kilometers and showcasing its precision and maneuverability. While the Burevestnik, also known as Flying Chernobyl, emits radioactive exhaust due to its reactor, it is not yet ready for combat but serves as a strategic warning to the West.
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine continues, with Putin refusing to specify an end date. In Kyiv, fires ravaged high-rise buildings as rescue efforts were underway following Russian attacks. Putin’s envoy in the US blamed Ukrainian air defenses for strikes on civilians, a claim denounced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who highlighted the devastating impact on innocent lives and infrastructure.
