Bernie Ecclestone Sells Daughter-Named Yacht

Must Read

Bernie Ecclestone recently sold a yacht named after his daughters, Petra and Tamara, following his wife Fabiana’s statement that they only used it for eight days annually. Another smaller yacht belonging to the Formula 1 mogul, docked in Ibiza, is also currently on the market, contrasting with “Petara,” located in Croatia, which has been sold.

During an interview marking his 95th birthday, which falls on Tuesday, 28 October, Ecclestone confirmed the sale, stating, “We just sold it.” Fabiana elaborated, saying, “We only utilized it for eight days a year. Such a large yacht is unnecessary for our needs.”

Earlier this year, Ecclestone disposed of his collection of F1 cars to Red Bull co-owner Mark Mateschitz for approximately £550 million. This transaction occurred 18 months after settling with HMRC for over £500 million due to a failure to disclose overseas assets valued at £400 million.

Despite these sales, Ecclestone and his family still maintain a considerable net worth, exceeding £1.8 billion, according to Forbes. Currently, residing in the Swiss Alps town of Gstaad with his third wife, Fabiana, aged 49, and their five-year-old son, Ace, Ecclestone shared his birthday plans, stating, “My daughters wanted a grand celebration. However, I prefer to fly with Fabi and Ace to my ranch in Brazil.”

Reflecting on family dynamics, Ecclestone mentioned his eldest daughter, Deborah, who recently turned 70 and visited him in Gstaad. Fabiana highlighted their strong marital bond, stating, “We’ve been married for 13 years now, together for 16,” emphasizing their collaborative approach to parenting Ace.

Regarding Ace’s upbringing and screen time limitations, Ecclestone explained their strategy, stating, “Bernie and I are united in raising Ace. We ensure he understands the importance of completing tasks before indulging in technology.” Fabiana added insights on Ace’s interests and talents, mentioning his early exposure to skiing and diverse culinary preferences.

As for entertainment offerings, Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, delivering savings of £192 and access to over 1,400 live matches spanning the Premier League, EFL, and more. Sky plans to broadcast a minimum of 215 live Premier League games next season, showcasing an increase of up to 100 additional matches.
