A father in Edinburgh, Scotland, is cautioning residents after his partner encountered a threatening incident with a man on an e-bike while out with their baby in a stroller. The man approached Kai Liam’s girlfriend on Wardieburn Place West around 5:15 pm on Friday, October 10.
Video footage captured the man riding his e-bike on the road, focusing on a mother pushing a stroller along the sidewalk. The woman moved the stroller towards a nearby shop or house out of CCTV view as the man followed closely, gesturing and speaking in a menacing manner.
Authorities in Scotland confirmed receiving reports of threatening conduct and stated that investigations are currently ongoing. Kai expressed his desire to alert the public about his partner’s distressing encounter in case the man targets other women. He shared with Edinburgh Live that the man followed his girlfriend, making threats to harm her and their child in the stroller.
The man reportedly menaced her with threats of violence, circled around her, and harassed her while their infant cried in the stroller. Kai emphasized the importance of spreading awareness in case the man harasses other women. Another woman with a stroller was also reportedly approached by the same man but managed to walk away.
According to a Police Scotland spokesperson, a report was received regarding threatening behavior in the Wardieburn Place West area of Edinburgh at approximately 5:15 pm on Friday, October 10, 2025.
