Donald Trump’s physician provided a significant update following the President’s recent medical examination. Concerns about the 79-year-old leader’s health arose earlier this year due to visible bruising on his hands in various photos, with some even speculating about potential dementia. Trump spent approximately three hours at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, undergoing a scheduled follow-up evaluation, according to Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor. The doctor’s one-page memo, released on Friday, stated that President Trump remains in excellent health, showing robust cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical capabilities. In addition to the evaluation, Trump received a Covid-19 booster shot and his annual flu vaccination. Barbabella noted that Trump’s cardiac age is roughly 14 years younger than his actual age.
The assessment aimed to prepare Trump for upcoming international travel to the Middle East and Asia later this month. The evaluation involved advanced imaging, lab tests, and preventive health assessments. While the White House called it a routine yearly checkup, Trump had already undergone his annual examination in April. The results confirmed his fitness to continue serving as President. Barbabella had also conducted the April examination and revealed in a three-page summary that Trump had shed 20 pounds since his previous physical five years ago. He highlighted the President’s active lifestyle as a significant contributor to his overall well-being.
During the April assessment, Trump’s cognitive functions were evaluated and deemed satisfactory. Although Presidents can withhold health information from the public, Trump’s April summary provided detailed insights into his health metrics, including weight, body mass index, past surgeries, mental health screenings, cholesterol levels, and blood pressure.
In other news, Trump’s absence during a recent CNN interview led to speculations about his health. Instead of appearing in person, the 79-year-old President texted his responses before the interview, leaving viewers surprised. The interview focused on Trump’s peace initiatives in the Gaza-Israel conflict and his strong stance against Hamas.
