As the temperature drops this winter, you may qualify for payments of £25 under the Cold Weather Payment initiative.
The Cold Weather Payments for the 2025/26 season have recently commenced, offering you the chance to receive £25 whenever the average temperature in your area falls to zero degrees or below over a continuous seven-day period.
Multiple Cold Weather Payments can be claimed if your region experiences several prolonged periods of freezing weather throughout the winter, with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) responsible for administering these payments.
To be eligible, you must be receiving specific benefits such as Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, or Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
