LG TV owners are in for a treat this holiday season with a new upgrade to LG Channels. The tech giant from Korea has announced a significant enhancement to its popular platform, offering a range of fresh features and additional free content, including programs from Sky.
The recent update, which started rolling out this month, enables users with specific LG screens to enjoy Sky Sports Stories, Sky Sports Vault, and Sky Sports Classics without requiring a subscription. Moreover, LG has also integrated the Sky News channel into its free lineup.
In addition to these additions, the update introduces more content options like LG1 Christmas for festive entertainment, the FIFA+ Women Channel for soccer enthusiasts, and the DP World Tour for golf fans.
All these new channels fall under the category of FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) services, meaning viewers will encounter advertisements during the shows.
Apart from the new channels, the upgrade brings broader enhancements such as personalized content suggestions and a revamped user interface aimed at simplifying the process of finding something to watch.
A new feature called “Quick Access” allows viewers to access channel information, the TV guide, favorites, and popular content instantly by pressing the “OK” button on the LG Magic Remote while watching a program.
